Today is mini Tuesday. But hey, sometimes you need a break until the inevitable. And who would we be if we, as internet blogging Latino semi-media, did not monitor other Latino-like media types, especially when they get into screaming matches with MSM?

Leave it to Geraldo, our moustached brown brother, to write a book with an *ahem* very very clever pun of a name and then go on some radio station that white people love and speak about it with the occasional peppering of badly pronounced Spanish.

In Geraldo Rivera’s new book, he examines the growth of the Hispanic population in the United States.

The journalist tackles the highly divisive issue of illegal immigration, specifically focusing on Hispanics. Rivera references his parents’ struggle to assimilate into American culture, as well as other ethnic Americans who try to do the same.

Rivera uses “His Panic: Why Americans Fear Hispanics in the U.S.” (NOTE: hmm, where oh where have we heard that before??) to try to explain why the immigration issue is such a sensitive one in America.

Well there you are! Now that we only have one Latino running for comandante of la casa blanca, I say it’s not too late for our Geraldo to take over the world. One Spanglish word at a time.
