And Then They Say Latinos And Blacks Don’t Get Along

And YOU thought that Richardson Lopez supporters were going to fade away along with his career campaign! What’s an endorsement-hungry Latino to do?

Obama wins endorsement from Latino politicians in Los Angeles

Two prominent Latino politicians in Los Angeles endorsed Illinois Senator Barack Obama on Sunday after withdrawing support for New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson who has quit the U.S. presidential race, according to the Obama campaign.

The endorsement came from California state Senator Gil Cedillo and former state Democratic Senator Martha Escutia of Los Angeles.

And yes, other as-American-as-pay-de-manzana news sources are reporting on these too. Can you blame this international coverage? With a candidate who hearts Omar from The Wire, how could the media not heart him?

AND since we’re non-partisan, we should point out that Hill on Capitol Hill has the support of lots of Latinos like Roberto Menendez for quite some time…but who’s counting, really since like a year ago…

Adiós Richardson López: Now only one Mexican-American Left in the Race

Well, yes, the time has come for Richardson López to finally admit he was running for VP or Secretary of State, or NM Senator all along….

(he can gain all the weight back now)

Bill Richardson eats

But do not worry, there is still a Mexican American left in the race Mitt Romney (for now, until he realizes right wing Republicans aren´t going to vote for a Mormon for president)

and of course we still have Panamanian John McCain who is actually not doing as bad as he was, and could, with a Constitutional change, become the first Central American president of the United States.

Rudy Calls on Dead Man to get the Hispanic Vote

Just because you hate Latin American immigrants doesn’t mean you don’t want Cubans in Miami to vote for you, or anyone who happens to be a voter but prefers election ads in Spanish…..

So here goes Rudy Giuliani’s attempt to get the Hispanic vote by invoking a man who was hated in Latin American, around the world and in New York as well…. (of course the most notable fact about the ad is a picture where Rudy HAS HAIR!!!!)
