Jesus Fills in for MIA Latino Groups

In the ongoing political fight (mainly among holy rollers and Republicans) to see Quién es Más Cristiano, some group called Christians for Comprehensive Immigration Reform (who knew?) condemns conservative loudmouth Pat Buchanan for (guess what?) criticizing immigrants and blaming them for just about everything that’s wrong with the world.

CCIR Condemns Pat Buchanan’s Remarks that U.S. as Nation of Immigrants is a“Myth”

Christian Leaders Call for Compassion and Understanding in Debate Over Immigration  Washington, DC – Today, Christians for Comprehensive Immigration Reform (CCIR) condemned commentator Pat Buchanan’s remarks that immigrants coming to the United States somehow threaten Americans’ way of life.

The rest of it says pretty much what we already know: that Pat Buchanan doesn’t like beaners.

Nothing new there, and it did take them a few days to respond to some appearance he made on CNN, but hey, AT LEAST THEY SAID SOMETHING!

Where are the Latino groups? What Would They Do, I mean, besides take long lunches to shop for holiday dresses?

Alberto GONEzales… “Lawyer of the year”

Apparently you don´t even have to read the Constitution to be a lawyer or even better… Lawyer of the year!!!!!

I am sure this won´t mean as much to Alberto as his civil rights la Raza award….

ABA Journal names Gonzales lawyer of the year amid lingering inquiries

WASHINGTON (AP) _ A magazine published by the American Bar Association on Wednesday named former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales its Lawyer of the Year for 2007 _ mostly for creating so much controversial news.

The ABA Journal also picked Attorney General Michael Mukasey _ Gonzales’ successor _ to be its lawyer of the year for 2008 because he has to deal with the problems left when Gonzales resigned under fire last fall. (WOW they know the lawyer of the year one year in advance)

Qualifications for the title were not immediately clear (reading the Constitution not required). But the ABA Journal’s picks, which will be published in its January issue, appear to award lawyers who spent a lot of time in the media spotlight.

Lefties Use Phony Data to Spew Patronizing Pablum

What it is with these white, liberal groups that treat Latinos and other minority groups as children who need their hand held? As communities that need to “learn” from mighty whitey how the world works?

Worse still are those groups that perpetuate stereotypes and co-opt Latino lemmings coconuts to come along for the ride.

Today it’s the New American Media’s turn, which came out with some ridiculous STATE THE OBVIOUS poll that “finds” groups of color don’t get along all the time.

Holy cow! People don’t get along all the time! Quick! Call Rodney King!

So the poll tells us that African Americans don’t really always like to do business with Hispanics, and one should deduce that it’s because they hate each other. Nothing, of course, about the fact that MAYBE, just MAYBE, it has to do with language barriers. ‘Course if that were the case, then we wouldn’t hate each other and the purpose of the poll — WE HATE EACH OTHER AND WE DON’T GET ALONG ALL THE TIME — would go to waste.

But wait, the poll also says the communities of color do get along most of the time. WTF???!!!

So which is it?

(AND if we hate each other so much why does this happen?)
