Much freak out recently in Venezuela about the Chávez crusade against Radio Caracas Televisión … I don´t know why people keep comparing Chávez to Castro, at least Fidel is smart enough to know that you don´t mess with telenovelas!!!!

And a little warning from this influential blog: Hugo, if you really want to stay in Bolivarian power don´t ever try to cancel a Miss Venezuela pageant (yes, I know he tried and failed, but he may try to do it again)

Of course I could go on with many more comments…but why bother, when I can have “real Americans” with papers at the Onion do that for me…

I am waaaay behind on my commenting of Hispanic happenings these days… but I will try to catch up a bit….

In the “thank God it wasn´t a Hispanic” moment of the week a white guy crossed the Canadian border with highly contagious and panic inducing tuberculosis, and good thing it finally came out the guy is from Georgia, and even worse, a lawyer… because seconds after the TB attack was reported, the mainstream old media people on TV where all freaked out blaming the whole thing on immigration,

(which as we know is actually the main cause of everything in the U.S…. just ask the 17 native Americans left).

Stay tuned to Lou Dobbs, I am sure he will eventually find a Mexican´t broken borders link to this story…

So I think this is a good time to call for a total shutdown of the Canadian border, the deportation of all American citizens who have contagious coughs, (but first hold them in detention in Texas for 9 months) and the cancellation of all flights from Paris. It is the only way to keep us, taxpaying peoples, safe from the invasion of foreign bacteria…..

The announcement we have all been waiting for for years has finally come… to the utmost surprise of dozens of people who are following the longest presidential campaign ever, Bill Richardson López has announced that he is an OFFICIAL candidate for la Casa Blanca, because up to now he was just a pretend candidate unofficially taking money for a possible candidacy.

And now that he is an “official” candidate vs a pretend one, he gets a NEW WEBSITE!!!! and a section for mujeres!!!!

AND GUESS WHAT???? Once again following the advice of this influential blog, he even has a section En Español. and accepts donations in pesos.

So after like 5 “exclusive” interviews on Univision, Telemundo, TV Azteca, V-me (and their 3 viewers) Sábado Gigante and el Feo más bello, Richardson said this:

“Some are rock stars, I am not”.

He made the announcement in Los Angeles, because he wants people there to know he is Mexican, (but not the people online) and he did at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel, because he thinks he can try to fool people in to comparing him with Kennedy.

OK, so that wasn´t the announcement, but he was on a horse….

Now that it is “official” maybe he will poll above 2 per cent…. who knows he might even go higher than Kucinich.

However the only news anybody in L. A. was paying attention to was this fire probably started by James Edwards Olmos trying to reignite his career:
