Ok, so nobody knew who Mitt Romney was, even though his grandfather was Mexican and we mentioned him in this blog read by dozens of people, until he decided to try to get the Miami Latino vote, which any other republican would just have taken for granted without having to travel to third would country Miami.

So anyway, Romney, who should fire his Hispanic consultant if he has one, ended a speech in front of Miami Cubans with soon to return to power forever Fidel Castro´s trademark: Patria o Muerte: Venceremos!

As you can imagine, it didn´t go over with the we wish Castro was dead decades ago Miami crowd.

I guess he won’t be invited to this party.

BUT for some reason his son speaks excellent Spanish, move over George P.

Everything has a Latino angle… bet you didn´t know…. (I must add that Angelina told a “Dominican aid worker” about her pregnancy who is the one who spilled the beans, way back when that was news)

A local nonprofit adoption agency, Adoptions From the Heart in Wynnewood, says it worked with Angelina Jolie to facilitate the adoption of Pax Thien, 3, from the Tam Binh orphanage in Vietnam. Jolie began the adoption process with AFTH, which handles both international and domestic adoptions, last summer, according to a press release issued by Toplin & Associates Inc.

In the release, the agency’s Vietnam adoption coordinator, Heidi Gonzalez, says Jolie followed the same procedures as all prospective adoptive parents who apply to its Vietnam program.

According to González, Jolie did not receive the kind of treatment someone like Thalia would have. (Like a Latino star would adopt an Asian baby, they want blue eyed Russians only)

“Throughout Ms. Jolie’s adoption process, she received no preferential treatment from the Vietnamese government or Adoptions From The Heart, and, contrary to earlier reports, her application was not fast-tracked,” said González.

Showing that he is not so machista as they say, and that he has a sensitive, soft and caregiving side, de facto Caucus Leader, Joe Baca FELT like crying and ALMOST cried, and even though no real tears were shed he did the modern manly non chauvinistic thing and admitted publicly that he is potentially able to cry.

According to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune after touring Walter Reed Army Medical Center, waaaaaaay after everybody else (even after the Black Caucus did), Baca said the following:

Baca said in a phone interview. “I almost wanted to cry.”

And that is not all, after speaking to veterans in deplorable conditions Baca was moved to action:

Baca said he encountered numerous problems that concerned him. Late last week, Baca’s staff was compiling his notes for a letter that will be sent to the Pentagon.

A letter sometime in the future to the Pentagon, THAT will really work, veterans everywhere breathe a sigh of relief, the worst is behind them… now if we could get him to write a letter in favor of immigration reform…
