Hispanic First Babies of the Year, Because 300 Million is not Enough

It is that time of the year…. when “First Babies” are all over local news headlines… and so many are Latinos!!!! and possible future orgullos hispanos… and in so many towns we haven´t even heard of….and obviously most of the parents haven’t heard of the Real ID law, and have given them nice long names that will inevitably cause problems at the DMV…

We won´t stop until we reach U.S. Census prediction of 102 million by 2050.

Orgullo Hispano: Monica Lewinsky is Smarter Than You

monica lewinsky

One of our favorite Latinas, and as far as we can tell the highest ranking Hispanic ever, has graduated from the prestigious London School of Economics.

Yes, in case you didn’t know, and you probably thought you knew everything about her, Miss Mónica´s father is from El Salvador and was like one of the first Hispanic oncologists in Beverly Hills.

He has also been recognized by Guanacos online, need I say more… And then they say Hispanics don´t go do education…

And BTW her thesis was entitled “In Search of the Impartial Juror: An exploration of the third person effect and pre-trial publicity.”

So what is La Raza waiting for to give her an award?

Latinos Represent at Ford Funeral

I have no idea what Gerald Ford ever did for Hispanics, except for this.

But he must have done something really important, because the only high ranking anythings that showed up at one of his like 5 official funerals, his State Funeral, were AG Alberto Gonzales and Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutiérrez, and according to the Washington Post, that was like if no one had shown up.

Mi Casa Blanca es tú Casa Blanca

Yes… Even bloggers in pajamas need holiday breaks… but we are back and with a new category, because we can´t leave out the few but powerful Hispanics in the Bush Administration…plus the obvious Bush connections to tex-mex, Cubans in Florida and Columba.

Bush CInco de Mayo

So Happy 2007, a year we expect will be full of new coconut adventures…
