The narcotics story is shocking; I am not so shocked by a family with a farming background smuggling in Mexicans (and if U.S. citizens want these jobs, many are available to them with preference; but of course the Mexicans work faster . . . and so will tend to outwork the U.S. citizens; you must be able to keep up to keep these jobs; however I worked for a farm family in Georgia who hired only legals, gave preference to U.S. citizens, and if you could not do the work but came every day and tried, would try to find something to accomodate you; so it’s not all bad business; I can’t comment on the Boyds though and whether they have hired illegals; about half of the farm workers in the U.S. are illegals and without the illegals the farm work would not get done; we’d have to import produce from other countries–not such a good thing)
