For all of those of you still whining about Latinos not being in the administration, here’s another brown-led government post. Former Bronx borough president and famous Boricua NALEO prez Adolfo Carrion has a new job:
President Barack Obama Announces Key White House Posts
WASHINGTON, D.C. Today, President Barack Obama announced the following White House posts: Adolfo Carrion, White House Director of Urban Affairs and Derek Douglas, Special Assistant to the President for Urban Affairs.
He’s the cheapskate of staff. Rahm Emanuel, Barack Obama’s right-hand man, lives in a basement apartment on Capitol Hill rented to him by Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro. Just one problem: He’s not allowed to live there.
That’s what private investigator Joseph Culligan discovered after asking questions of D.C. officials. A zoning administrator responded to Culligan’s inquiry and told him that DeLauro’s house at 816 E. Capitol St. NE was listed as a single-family dwelling, and as such, could not be rented out.
Of course the Obamatrons are real busy trying to get this economic stimulus package through. And that’s probably why it’s taking forever to fill an allegedly key position in the White House: the press person in charge of dealing with the Spanish-language press.
(so who the hell is going to talk to the beaner press?)
And we hear a top-ranking and highly capable press person currently working on the Hill turned down the position because it paid CRAP — somewhere in the 50s and 60s (and even upper 40s, which is beyond crap) which is far, far less than what that pasty white press person makes.
