Once again, if you have a dirty mess in your hands, bring in the brown help! New Interior Secretary Ken Salazar is vowing to stop the sex, drugs and rock and roll that is politics at the Department of the Interior.
Ken Salazar: There’s A ‘New Sheriff In Town.’
Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said Thursday that he will revisit a sex-and-drugs scandal that rocked his agency in his bid to clean up ethical lapses at the nation’s biggest landowner.
Telling reporters that “there’s a new sheriff in town,” Salazar visited the Colorado office of the Minerals Management Service to tell employees there he plans a fresh review of unethical behavior at the agency.
He doesn’t need no stinkin’ badges. Oh and check out the video where he almost mispronounces Obama.

Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter appointed Denver’s public schools superintendent yesterday to fill a Senate vacancy that will be created by the promotion of Sen. Ken Salazar to interior secretary in the Obama administration.

The move surprised many Republicans and Democrats, who considered schools superintendent Michael Bennet a dark horse candidate for the Senate spot because of his lack of legislative experience. He has never campaigned for or held public office.

Republican professional Mexican hater, Tom Tancredo has decided to run for the Senate seat vacated by Ken Salazar, according to non-binding sources I have not consulted.
Saying that he wanted to be the first American (other than Mukasey) to ever take a job away from a Mexican, Tancredo launched and exploratory committee co-chaired by Lou Dobbs, the perpetual Hispanic journalist.
OK so I just made all of that up, but wouldn’t it be ironic if it happened?
