Brown Man Begs Hopes Black Man Will Not Indict

By La bloguera, January 27, 2009 8:16 am

One of our favorite Hispanics, you know, the Mexican who lost his job to a white guy, has apparently recovered from his squash injury and is now hoping for some change he can believe in…

Alberto Gonzales: I Don’t Think Obama AG Will Prosecute Me

In his confirmation hearing Eric Holder, President Obama’s nominee for Attorney General, declared definitively that “waterboarding is torture.”

Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, in an interview with National Public Radio’s “Tell Me More” Monday, said he was worried that “making a blanket pronouncement like that” might have a negative “effect … on the morale and the dedication of intelligence officials and lawyers throughout the administration.” (Gonzales probably knows something about bad morale at the Justice Department.)

Gonzales isn’t worried, however, about himself. While some have suggested that Holder’s statement paved the way for prosecution of administration officials who participated in torture, the ex-AG says it isn’t likely. More here

Of course since this interview was on NPR, nobody heard it anyway.

But his best interview so far was with another of our favorite Hispanics, Geraldo Rivera, except that Alberto GONEzales didn’t show up because of aforementioned whack in the eye.

Meanwhile… in other news…

Chances of Winning Obama? One in 42 Million

By La bloguera, October 23, 2008 9:35 am

Who cares about the Free Trade Agreement with Colombia, when you can WIN THE LOTTERY????

Yes, in one of my favorite countries, Obama gives hope to millions who will end up loosing their money.

BOGOTA (Reuters) – U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama might be betting he can win November’s election, but he could really hit the jackpot in Colombia.

A Colombian lottery seller has printed Obama’s face on tickets hoping to snag attention while celebrating Afro-Colombians with a nod to the Democrat’s African heritage.

Reproduction released by the Meta Lottery department, central ...

Less than two weeks before the election, street vendors and stores in steamy Meta province are selling the lottery stubs showing Obama smiling in a suit and tie. The average weekly top prize for the tickets — around $300,000 (that’s in pesos, my friends).

No Latinos Were Hurt in the Making of this Debate

By La bloguera, October 8, 2008 10:05 am

I repeat: No Latinos were hurt, employed, featured, consulted, shown, considered, included, acknowledged or recognized in the making of this presidential debate, or the VP debate, or any other debate.

Yes mi gente, we may be the largest numerical minority of the nation, but we are absolutely excluded, disregarded, absent, ignored, passed over and non-existent when it comes to debating, commentating, covering, moderating, or EVEN ASKING questions to the candidates in the supposed most important election ever.

(In all those foreign policy “debates” not one mention of Mexico, a country that affects the daily lives of Americans waaaaay more than Russia or Somalia, or Colombia where billions of our taxpayer dollars go, or the Dominican Republic, we can’t do baseball without it)

Passing mentions of Hugo Chávez and the Castro duo don’t count, because they always appear in the same sentence as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and foreign oil and/or dictators.

So while “our leaders” are all excited that a few more Latinos will be participating in that secret activity that happens once every 4 years (OK, 2 years), and they keep saying we are the swing vote, yada yada yada…. I have news for you: Our collective political weight is about as real as Joe Biden’s hair plugs, and about as relevant as a copy of the Constitution in Alberto Gonzales’ house.

Hispanic McCain Adviser Turned into a White Woman

By La bloguera, September 9, 2008 2:30 pm

Thanks to the MSM who can only recognize Hispanics if they are involved in some kind of immigration story, Nicaraguan Ana Navarro, co-chair of a Hispanic advisory council of some sort, has been transformed into a White Woman…. (the American Dream of soooo many Hispanics)

Poll shows big shift to McCain among white women

Republican presidential candidate John McCain has gained huge support among white women since naming Sarah Palin as his running mate and now leads Democrat Barack Obama among those voters, according to a survey published on Tuesday.
