Anger Rampant Among Babaloo Blowhards

By La Neta, April 15, 2010 1:34 pm

It’s a great day in the vecindario when the President manages to wake up the bananeros and start a heated discussion.

Because clearly there’s nothing else going on.

The controversy revolves around Obama attending a fundraiser in Miami. If you think the tea baggers hate the prez, you haven’t been to Calle Ocho, the heart of the hardline babaloos in formerly genteel Miami.

And the best part of this brouhaha is that the ire is directed at cubanos Emilio & Gloria Estefan, themselves quite the blowhards in the past. The pair is hosting a $30,400 per couple private fundraiser at their home for the president and the Democrats.

The hardliners are saying “ay dios mío mi’jos, how could you help out the Democrats?! The Democrats LOVE Fidel!” Ya sabes, typical babaloo nonsense.

Check out the picture below with what is rumored to be a note from the first lady herself!

One Less Babaloo Blowhard To Deal With

By La Neta, February 11, 2010 9:21 pm

A different kind of storm swept through Capitol Hill today when Rep. Lincoln Díaz-Balart (R-Fla.) announced he was not going to run for reelection, retiring instead to go make beaucoup bucks as a lawyer in Miami.

http://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/09eK7pN2wca1p/520x.jpg

We have been scratching our heads trying to remember if there is ANYTHING the Cuban-American legislator has done besides loud, bilingual and constant tirades against Fidel Castro.  Can’t think of anything.

http://www.desconexioncubana.com/nohotlink.jpe

Anyhoo, his severely underserved constituents need not worry about having to change any embroidered napkins, at least not the last names. Little bro Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart, who almost got his a** whipped by a Democrat in the last congressional election, is jumping over to Lincoln’s more Republican-friendly district, to continue his job of non-stop constant tirades against Castro (oh, and a couple of hurricane preparedness pressers) without having to worry about a challenge from someone who actually wants to do something in Congress.

Oh, and get this…why didn’t this Spanish-language network cover this at all?

Hopefully it’s not because the anchor is another Díaz-Balart, baby bro José, because that would be pretty stooopid!!

Spain Throws Out The Jews…AGAIN

By La Neta, November 29, 2009 8:20 pm

Back in the day when Spain was allegedly a world-class powerhouse, the natives got jealous of the smartest people amongst them and decided to kick them out, telling the chosen sons and daughters of Abraham to scram.  ‘Course it was not done politely.

http://dancutlermedicalart.com/AlbertEinstein%27sZionism/images/larger%20images/1614%20plundering%20the%20Judengasse.jpg

Fast forward to today, and again Spain is telling the Jews vayan al diablo.  And this time it happens before they even get there.

Spain is hosting the Solar Decathlon Europe next summer, where teams from 20 universities around the globe participate.

The team from Israel’s Ariel University Center of Samaria in the West Bank had qualified, but the Spanish government recently told the team it was removed from the competition because the university is in “occupied territories.”

Stepping into the hornet’s nest is Florida Republican Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, who has quite a number of Jewish constituents (and you thought Cubans only cared about Fidel!).

“It is outrageous that a group of scientists is being barred from participating in an international scientific competition because they are from the West Bank,” she said.

“The decision by the Spanish government to expel the team represents a dangerous assault on the principles of scientific exchange and academic freedom, and contributes to the demonization of the state of Israel.”

The letter to the team from the Spanish government reads, “The fact that your center is actually located in the occupied territories, and being obliged to respect the European Union position in relation to this matter, we are forced to inform you that the continuation of your center in this competition will not be possible.”

Because Spain is the host country, it can decide who participates or not.

So Congresswoman Ros-Lehtinen is lobbying the DOE to withdraw its co-sponsorship of the event. Already thousands have signed a petition asking the Obama administration to tell the Spaniards WTF and get the U.S. paws off that gathering.

It promises to get nice and nasty.

Boricua Bunglers Are Back

By La Neta, May 6, 2009 5:27 pm

It’s bad enough decades ago the gang that couldn’t shoot straight goes into a PACKED U.S. House of Representatives with pistols a-blazin’, shoots up the place and only hit one guy in the ankle (and he was an intern, not even a member of Congress).

http://vivirlatino.com/i/2008/03/lebron-1954.jpg

Fast forward to nowadays, and six pro-independence Puerto Ricans show up to the same place, this time they come in peace, an incoherent peace, but in peace nonetheless. They unfurled Puerto Rican flags and a bunch of signs IN SPANISH. Naturally WE know the signs said “111 Years of Colonialism is Shameful” and “End U.S. Occupation of Puerto Rico Now.” But because the signs weren’t understood by the same legislators they’re trying to convince, their message went nowhere. And on top of that, the signs were barely legible.

They were about to talk about colonialism when of course, the police show up and arrest them, charging them with disorderly conduct. There’s a rumor of an added charge of “looking Mexican” and therefore inciting panic.

They were released and ordered to show up in court at a later date.

THE GOOD NEWS: This has NOTHING to do with the swine flu….

THE BAD NEWS: WTF?!

Hispanic Caucus Drools Over Piolín

By La bloguera, June 17, 2007 6:12 pm

It has been a while since what is left of the Hispanic Caucus has done much of anything, but no politician can resist cameras, especially if Kennedy is involved.

So like 5 minutes before radio DJ Piolín and his media caravan arrived at the Capitol with something like 1 million signatures in favor of immigration reform, members of the Caucus found out about it and decided to join this dream photo op.

We love Piolin

AND in case you are some kind of skeptic that actually believes the congresspersons where planing way ahead of time to be there to support the humble efforts of those who signed the letters and not just when they found out Univision would be there, check out this note on the press release (their typo)

Media: Please note there will be no multbox available at press conference. So please bring appropriate sound equipment to attach to podium.

So anyway, in a great show of unity, Baca, Napolitano, Solís, Diaz Balart, Menéndez, Martínez and others showed up to drool allover the cameras and mics….(and wished they had half of Piolín´s ratings)

AND not only that, according to defacto fearless leader Joe Baca´s press release, the million letters where for them…and the press conference was all about unveiling a bunch of empty boxes… (Yes, the boxes where symbolic of the more than a million letters, who knows where those are, I will let the old media investigate that one)

Bi-Partisan Members of Senate and House Accept Over
1 Million Letters from Univision Radio Personality Eddie “Piolín” Sotelo in Support of Immigration Reform

Members of Congress Call For Immigration Debate
To Continue

Press Conference Today in Senate Upper Park

Who: Senator Kennedy
Senator Martinez
Senator Menendez
Senator Specter
Rep. Joe Baca, Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus
Members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (because we have no idea who is coming, we just “invited” them a few minutes ago)
Members of the Congressional Hispanic Conference (We hope none of them show up, but since they are all Cuban, probably Mel Martìnez already told them)
Eddie “Piolín” Sotelo

What: Press conference unveiling over 1 million letters signed by U.S. citizens and/or legal residents (because they had to show ID or proof of citizenship… NOT) collected by Univision Radio personality Eddie “Piolín” Sotelo during his cross country trip to support the passage of a fair and just immigration reform bill this year.

Where: Senate Upper Park ( Senate Swamp )
Corner of Constitution and Delaware
Washington , DC
Alternative Rain Site: H-122 in Capitol
When: Thursday, June 14, 2007

Time: Appx: 1:30 P.M. (because we don`t when the live feed from Univision will be on, and we will basically be there when the cameras are)

We love Cameras

Interesting to note, Mel Martínez was way ahead of the pack of Democrats, annoucing that he would be there and on camera, waaaaaaay before the others even found out who Piolín is…(Like 15 minutes earlier)
