WASHINGTON (CNN) — Embattled U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales intends to resign, senior administration officials told CNN Monday.
Many lawmakers from both sides of the aisle have long called for his ouster after the firing of several U.S. attorneys in 2006. President Bush had long stood by Gonzales.
This is obviously very sad news for us, because we had a whole blog category dedicated to him….
AND yes, before CNN had it…. we had to go all the way to New York to get Washington news.
