We know that the pig is such a filthy animal that even God doesn’t like it too much, and that why observant Jews and Muslims and others don’t touch it.

So it’s understandable that a legislator in the land of all that is kashrut is annoyed that several flu cases have shown up in his country with that thoroughly non-Jewish name: swine.

So Deputy Health Minister Yaacov Litzman wants it changed to “Mexican” flu, in deference to people in the no pig zone who may happen to get sick.

Scientists, who naturally already know that beaners are being blamed for everything else that is wrong with the world, worry that changing the name would be “stigmatizing.”

YA’ THINK?

But Litzman says too bad, and in Israel at least, they will call it Mexico flu.
