Obama panders to the coconut caucus, Latinas minus Linda boycott

By La bloguera, June 18, 2008 8:21 am

The coconuts have been offended lately because Obama hasn´t personally attended the quinceañeras of their daughters or called them to wish them a happy Cinco de Mayo.

They are especially almost pissed off because after more than a year of them campaigning fiercely for Hillary and criticizing Obama and telling Latinos not to vote for him, they weren´t the first on his list of friends and family to call.

But they made enough noise, and since Obama does need Hispanics to vote for him, they all met together at the DNC at a closed door non-binding meeting at 5 PM on Tuesday, and made sure they didn´t tell ANYONE in the Hispanic Media, and picked such a convenient time to meet waaaay past any news deadline, EVEN for the West Coast.

So here is the only thing you need to know about this meeting in which the Latina members of Congress were VERY ABSENT….

Yes you guessed it… Joe Baca is still 3 feet tall

Joe Baca is 3 feet tall

Obama and Joe Baca who is 3 feet tall

OMG even Raúl Grijalva looks tall compared to Baca!!!!

Joe Baca is 3 feet tall, Grijalva is 3′1

It’s amazing the mainstream print media doesn’t pick up on this, solely on the interest of amusement. The U.S. Congressional Hispanic Caucus clearly defines what is dysfunctional, and what is truly worthless about this group of supposedly Latino political leaders. The Caucus as a whole can’t even equal to one Bill Richardson. I am sure Henry B. Gonzalez is vomiting in his grave, and wondering how on earth Loretta Sanchez has managed to hold her job for eleven years. Actually Working Joe Baca is four foot two!

  3. La Neta says:

notice too that NONE of the puerto ricans were there, including rep. luis gutierrez, an early supporter of obama.

  4. central coast california real estate…

Now is the time to invest in US property, Don’t abandon it, invest in it….

  5. Give these guys a break, huh? You can’t blame them for their reluctance to publicly support Obama. Political parties are like gangs, they’re Democrats first, Latinos second. Hillary Clinton, she’s DNC establishment. Obama is not and what’s more, he challenged the establishment candidate and beat her.

All the party line puppets will go to the Dem establishment like flies to crap and will oppose anyone who tries to knock down the person they so admire.

The fact that these self-appointed “leaders of the Latino community” vote in the best interests of their party and not the people who put them into office is proof that the Hispanic caucus is a huge joke. Como dijo La Marrero, who cares who the Hispanic Caucus supports or doesn’t support?

Keep poking fun at them, though!
