Red Bloguera will conduct the First Latin American Workshop on Digital Journalism and New Media to be held at the Universidad Monteávila in Caracas, Venezuela, from May 28 through May 30 of 2009.

The workshop entitled Las Voces del Futuro will be taught by a select group of international experts and is sponsored by Red Hispana and Universidad Monteávila.

El Bloguipodio , the first Spanish language podcast in the United States, was recently featured in BBC Mundo as an example of creativity and innovation in the use of Web 2.0.

Created in 2004 by Los Blogueros and Red Bloguera, El Bloguipodio is a pioneer in the history of podcasting and Web 2.0, and preceded podcasting ventures by large media companies including the BBC.

This past August we were invited again to participate in a panel on New Media and Journalistic Ethics during the Scripps Howard Latin American Media Ethics Seminar organized by the International Center for Journalists.
